The Vodafone Finder
One of the biggest challenges for Australian consumers is shopping for mobile phones. The wide variety of plans, terminology, variable call rates and increased use of data causes confusion and uncertainty.
Vodafone engaged Kineo to design and build a recommendation tool, letting consumers easily determine the right mobile phone plan for them. This has given consumers confidence to buy the right phone plan straight away from the online store, yielding real results for Vodafone.
Kineo compressed 12 weeks of work into 8, delivering a quality product on-time and within budget.
Online Reputation Management
Commsec wanted to better understand their current online reputation and ways they could look at managing this moving forward.CommSec engaged Kineo to conduct an introductory Online Reputation Workshop. The workshop covered an introduction to the principles of online reputation management; and an interactive session/Q+A session to determine a shared set of goals and defined measures of success.
Following the workshop, Kineo developed a comprehensive 6 step online reputation management program. Online Reputation Management Plan for Commsec, which an immediate set of actions, and laid the foundation for a larger program of management and continuous improvement.
Online Store
In 2007, Vodafone Australia’s online store was an outsourced to an external vendor. The store only sold pre-paid mobile phones and comprised less than 0.1%of Vodafone’s total consumer sales. The outsourced shop was expensive, and Vodafone had little control over the sales process. Vodafone realised there was an opportunity to significantly grow their online sales, and at the same time substantially reduce their cost to connect.
Vodafone had one key objective: “Develop an efficient and competitive online direct response model to improve sales”.
Over the past two years we have worked closely with Vodafone to generate one of the most efficient and effective e-tailing channels in the Australian Telecommunications category. A highly accountable cross platform analytics solution allowed Vodafone to optimise their both their external traffic sources (banner, search marketing, email, etc) and a sophisticated behavioural test and targeting engine dynamically produced tailored website content. This enabled Vodafone to dramatically decrease their cost to connect as well as their campaign time- to-market efficiency.
